Dornier has been technical and commercial advisory for the floating PV project in Vietnam. The project is expected to have two main components: (i) A floating solar PV plant on a pre-identified site (capacity around 50-200 MW to be auctioned in 2021) to be constructed, operated and maintained by the private sector, which will be selected through a competitive tendering process as independent power producer (IPP); (ii) Transmission interconnection system expansion which would include a solar park substation and transmission line to connection point with transformers, switchgear, controls, and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system compatible with the NPT’s SCADA requirements.
