Supporting the commissioning of Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER)

In preparation for the commissioning of the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), the airport operator implemented the Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) programme. ORAT describes a complex process of turning existing airport infrastructure into a functioning airport.

As part of the ORAT programme, Dornier Consulting provided the project management office (PMO), which was responsible for the overall coordination and organisation of cooperation between internal departments, external service providers and other partners. We also advised the airport departments involved. The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic presented the airport with additional challenges. Dornier Consulting supported the implementation of effective measures to contain the spread of the virus.
