thyssenkruppSteel Europe AG operates the gas-fired power plant ‘Hermann Wenzel’ at its Ruhrort site, which has a total of four units with different steam capacities. Due to future legal requirements, Unit IV is now being retrofitted for low-NOx operation.
The SCR system achieves a denitrification rate at which the NOx clean gas value of 100 mg/Nm³ at 3% O2 content in dry flue gas is not exceeded as a daily average value.
