The MAC (Munich Airport Centre) and the MAC Forum are the landside building complexes at Munich Airport that connect Terminals 1 and 2. They also provide access to the underground station, car parks and bus station. The MAC and MAC Forum also represent an important ‘mall with plaza’, offering shopping, dining, event venues and other service facilities. The decision was made to renovate the MAC and MAC Forum in order to meet contemporary new standards, improve the customer experience and maximise revenue per passenger. The aim is to optimise commercial potential, improve the retail mix and space allocation, and enhance the environment through contemporary design and better connections between public spaces, shops, restaurants and other services.
