Munich Airport Center (MAC), together with the MAC Forum, forms the central landside link between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at Munich Airport. It also provides access to the suburban railway station, parking facilities, and the central bus station, while serving as a vibrant mall and plaza concept offering a wide range of retail, dining, event, and service facilities.

To meet increasing expectations in terms of customer experience, economic performance, and modern standards, it was decided to comprehensively modernize the MAC and MAC Forum. The objective was to sustainably enhance commercial potential, optimize the retail mix and space allocation, and significantly improve the overall customer experience through contemporary architectural design and better integration of public areas, retail, dining, and service facilities.

Dornier assumed overall project management for this comprehensive modernization program.
