Fact-Finding Mission in four Cities of Ukraine within the Framework of Modernising Urban Public Transport in Selected Cities of Ukraine

Within the framework of cooperation between Ukraine and the Federal Republic of Germany, KfW, as the implementing institution for the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), supported financing of the modernisation of urban public transport infrastructure in Ukraine.

Dornier provided technical support in evaluating the project proposals submitted by the cities and prioritising these projects with respect to the project objective and their feasibility within the framework of a KfW Financial Cooperation Loan.

Our services at a glance:

• Analysis of the main means of public transport in the cities
• Identification of modernisation needs, especially with regard to increasing energy efficiency
• Screening of ongoing investment projects (urban public transport) and those in preparation, including projects with involvement of other IFIs
• Screening of ongoing technical assistance projects (urban public transport) and those in preparation, including projects with involvement of other institutions
• Prioritisation of project proposals according to the following criteria: financial volume, energy efficiency and status of project preparation, and likelihood of sustainable operation of the potentially financed assets and infrastructure
