Creation of Transport Models and Capacity Building for the Cities of Vinnytsia and Chernivtsi

The project was implemented in the framework of the Integrated Urban Development in Ukraine (ISU) project, which supported selected cities in designing an integrated urban development concept as part of the development of German-Ukrainian cooperation.

Dornier developed multimodal transport models based on integrated approaches for the cities of Chernivtsi and Vinnytsia (these models covered cars, trucks, public transport, pedestrian and bicycle traffic) and mapped mobility behaviour in the city and its surroundings. Dornier also supported the capacity-building activities to enable the city administrations to quantitatively record and simulate traffic patterns in the transport models.
