Cairo Metro Line 1 Modernisation. Corporate Development, Asset Management and Safety Programme

The National Authority for Tunnels has signed a loan with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank and Agence française de développement for the rehabilitation of Metro Line 1 to be operated by the public transport operator, Egyptian Company for Metro Management and Operation. The principal objectives of Line 1 rehabilitation are to increase capacity, improve service level, and ensure efficient and safe network operation.

Dornier is supporting the Egyptian Company for Metro Management and Operation in developing and implementing the Financial and Operational Performance Improvement Programme (FOPIP) and Corporate Development Plan (CDP) to enhance technical, financial, management and institutional aspects.
