At Braunschweig-Wolfsburg Airport, Dornier investigated the potential for solar power generation at the airport. The CO2 savings potential for renewable energy generation at the airport was calculated. In addition, various options for system components and plant layouts were presented. Yield and profitability forecasts were prepared, and marketing and utilisation strategies were described and compared. The economic viability was examined using various scenarios.
