Supporting the commissioning of Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER)

As part of the “Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer” (ORAT) program, we supported our client in the operational preparation and successful commissioning of Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). The objective was to ensure that the newly constructed infrastructure was transformed into a smoothly functioning airport operation.

Dornier established and operated the Project Management Office (PMO), assuming overall coordination between internal departments, external service providers, and other project stakeholders. In addition, we advised the various specialist departments on operational and organizational matters. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we also supported the development and implementation of appropriate measures to ensure a safe start of operations under challenging conditions.
