Plant and process engineering

Power & Heat

Energy generation plants are based on complex process engineering planning. This is exactly where we come in. Our planning activities start either from a blank sheet of paper or one that is already filled in. Whether it’s process analysis with the aim of optimisation, the redesign or replanning of systems, or a simple expansion, with our system planning we create the necessary design reports, develop P&ID diagrams, carry out thermodynamic cycle calculations and create the functional planning as a basis for the control engineering implementation. In addition to the interface with electrical and control engineering, process engineering also serves pipeline planning. Pipeline planning is carried out by providing the necessary input and dimensioning the respective pipelines required in the system. Mechanical engineering extends these interfaces by pre-designing machine components. For this purpose, electrical engineering is provided with the relevant data for internal use and layout planning with the dimensions of the components.

In order to supply a water-steam process with fresh water, we take care of the corresponding water treatment plants. Here, we plan the necessary plant technology to provide the required quality for the process from the available raw water.
