Flexibilisation and optimisation of operation Block Q, Boxberg power station

In order to make the use of Unit Q at the Boxberg power plant more flexible under the current increasingly difficult market conditions, work began on optimising primary control power as part of the multi-phase ‘SDL Optimisation’ project. The aim of the project was to expand the load range in which system services can be offered, both upwards and downwards.

An overview of the services provided by Dornier Power and Heat

  • Evaluation and optimisation of measures to increase the flexibility of Block Q’s operating mode
  • Development and implementation of test programmes for block optimisation
  • Definition of measures to optimise block operation
  • Optimisation of primary control power for Block Q
  • Data collection, compilation and evaluation of test results
  • Development of a control concept for the LBG28 auxiliary steam control valve
