Consulting services for the establishment of the Traffic Regulatory Authority, Saudi Arabia

The Public Traffic Authority (PTA) was initially tasked with regulating public transportation both within and between cities. This mandate was later expanded to include rail, maritime, and freight transport systems. At the same time, the transport sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is undergoing massive infrastructure development and profound structural reforms in line with “Vision 2030,” the National Transport Strategy 2030 (NTS), the National Transformation Program 2020 (NTP), and other sectoral strategies, which have direct impacts on transport demand and services.

In this context, the PTA commissioned Dornier to update its administrative and organizational structure to fully deliver both its original and expanded functions. At the same time, the authority’s objectives are being aligned with sectoral and national strategies as well as long-term plans and the overall economic policy direction.

Our services at a glance:

  • Review and assessment of the current (as-is) organizational structure of the PTA
  • Development of an updated organizational and functional structure
  • Development and drafting of job descriptions for leadership and management positions
  • Development and formulation of policies and procedural manuals
  • Development and finalization of a responsibility matrix (RASCI matrix)
