Vattenfall Wärme Hamburg GmbH currently supplies district heating to around 450,000 residential units in the Hamburg metropolitan area. As one of Europe’s largest district heating suppliers, the company operates a district heating network in Hamburg that is more than 800 km long, as well as highly efficient heat and power generation plants. The Tiefstack and Wedel coal-fired combined heat and power plants generate a large part of the city’s district heating requirements using the principle of combined heat and power.
Work preparation and maintenance planning for the Wedel CHP plant is carried out entirely by Dornier as an external service provider.
