Trianel Kohlekraftwerk Lünen GmbH & Co. KG owns a hard coal-fired steam generator with an electrical output of 750 MW at its Lünen site. Due to severe corrosion on the inner walls of the steam generator, Dornier Power and Heat was commissioned to investigate the causes. The combustion system was evaluated on the basis of NIR thermography, followed by optimisation of the combustion system at the individual burners and the entire steam generator. Finally, optimised process engineering operating settings were derived from the results and handed over to the client for incorporation into the steam generator control system. The causes of the corrosion were thus eliminated in the long term.

Our services at a glance:

  • Process analysis of the combustion system
  • Planning, implementation and evaluation of investigations to determine the actual status and optimisation of the DE combustion system using test and operating measurement technology
  • Derivation of measures to optimise the combustion parameters
  • Implementation of the optimisation measures and subsequent test measurements to check the results
  • Development of parameter curves for integration into the control system for operational management
