What made you choose Dornier as your employer?
I was looking for an international employer with exciting and challenging projects. I already enjoyed working as part of a team and leading projects as a student. Dornier Consulting offers me a portfolio with prestigious infrastructure projects in areas relevant to the future like electromobility and autonomous driving. I soon knew who I wanted to join when I saw Dornier Consulting’s profile when I was in the process of applying for jobs.
What path have you taken through the company so far?
I started out as an Associate at Dornier Consulting. I took the opportunity of doing a lot of extra training courses during my first year and was able to apply the content in practice at various clients. Being an Associate enabled me to be involved in numerous projects and grow with my responsibilities. Be it the aviation, automotive or power industry, from strategy consulting to project management, Dornier Consulting offers newcomers an outstanding range of opportunities worldwide.
Can you tell us a bit about what you do and about your team?
My first project involved setting up an internal consulting unit for an international aviation group. We were a team of four consultants, two with experience and two newcomers, and together we developed the business model for the future business unit and calculated the profitability of the investment, the results of which we presented to the top management (level 1).
My second project was more technical. This time, the client was a public body. Together with two colleagues, I developed measures relating to autonomous driving as part of the emergency “Clean Air” program, and assessed these in terms of their effectiveness, economic viability and acceptance.
I’m currently focusing on two issues:
One is an internal study on the environmental performance of alternative powertrains, and the other involves designing and developing processes for an international toll operator.
