The energy transition has significantly diminished the importance of large power plants for service companies in the power plant sector, with today’s market being dominated by projects with decentralized combined heat and power systems, energy storage systems, power-to-heat systems, gas-fired plants with rapid adjustment of output, biomass and RDF plants, and environmental protection systems. The integration of renewable energies is forging ahead, contributing to large-scale decarbonization. To be able to offer you focused solutions tailored to your needs, we are combining all services related to the installation, maintenance and operations management of energy facilities in Dornier Construction and Service GmbH, which has been founded specifically for this purpose and merges the business of two companies already firmly established in the market: conwico and IBS Technik.
conwico GmbH was founded in Vetschau in Brandenburg in 2016. conwico plans and delivers turnkey plants and components for supplying power, such as conversions and modernizations of power and heat generation plants, flue gas cleaning system retrofits, and water and wastewater treatment plants. Delivery, assembly and commissioning of the systems and components from a single source guarantee a system solution that functions as intended.
IBS Technik was founded in 2009 with headquarters in Neubrandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany). The company is a reliable quality provider in the field of operations management and maintenance, planning, project development, and appraisal of CHP plants and technical systems. IBS also sets standards in terms of digitalization in operations management. Essential planning, organizational and management tasks are carried out using internally developed browser-based software (IBIS – Internet-Based Information System). With its many years of experience in the operations and project management of plants for generating heat and electricity, IBS is a competent partner not only in northern and eastern Germany, but also around the world (for example in Chile and Brazil).
As of December 2021, these companies are now united under the umbrella of Dornier Construction and Service. A wide range of services in the field of renewable energies supplement the portfolio, among them mechanical and electrical installation for onshore wind turbines, mechanical and electrical installation for PV solar technologies, including civil works and commissioning, and operation and maintenance of onshore wind turbines, including blade inspection.
