As part of the project, a long-term master plan was developed for the spatial and infrastructural development of Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku. The objective was to establish a comprehensive long-term infrastructure strategy through 2045, taking into account projected traffic growth and evaluating various development options. Long-term trends in the aviation sector were considered, as well as the requirements of key stakeholders.
The master planning process was carried out in close coordination with the airport’s relevant departments and major stakeholders, including airlines, ground handling services, air traffic control service providers, business partners, shareholders, government authorities, and potential investors.
